Utsav Indian Cuisine

This place is great. We walked in and were greeted immediately. They gave us time to decide what we wanted drink and food wise. We ordered our drinks and apps. Came out in a timely fashion, same as the entree. The drinks! We ordered a martini each and they filled it up TO THE BRIM. Then he accidentally made extra for my fiances martini so he gave it to him in a shot glass. Awesome! The food was delicious. So flavorful! They gave us the most delicious sauces with our naan bread. Will most certainly be back. :)

I go to Utsav in Vernon about once a month. I've tried quite a few Indian restaurants in Connecticut, but no one has beaten Utsav so far. The food is incredibly delicious, the drinks come with a generous pour, and the staff are amazing. 100% worth the price. If you've never been, you have to try it; you'll quickly become a regular.

I’m from bombay, & have been craving quality Indian food for so long in America as a student. Finally found the best Indian Restaurant. The manager and waiter were so friendly and knew exactly what we wanted. We ordered the special prawn starter and it was absolutely delicious , the garlic naan had the perfect texture. Definitely would recommend coming here - you won’t be disappointed.

I NEVER leave google reviews because I think that I've never felt compelled to tell the world about my experience at a restaurant, however eating at Utsav Vernon was the best decision ever and I need whoever is reading this review to try it. My dad and I like to go on father-daughter days on occasion, and as a student athlete I have very little non-athletics time, so today (a Thursday) he picked me up from my place of education and we went to Utsav. When we got there they greeted us and gave us a table, the restaurant was clean, organized, and had excellent decor! The waiter was incredibly friendly and even got us waters to start, we ordered an appetizer of the Cheesy Naan Bread and it was PHENOMENAL! Although we are unsure what sauces it was served with, we suspect it to be a kiwi sauce and a tamarin sauce, whatever it was, it was life changing. We unfortunately did not realize they closed at 2:30 P.M. and reopened at 5, so although it was past close time, they still continued to give us excellent service. We also ordered the Samosas, which, as a Samosa lover myself, I can say with confidence that they were amazing! I also ordered the Murgh Shahi Korma, which was chicken in a curried cashew and saffron sauce, I would eat it everyday for the rest of my life and still love it. It was the best thing I ever had. The owner had even come out to say hi, shook our hands and gave us his buisness card! We chatted with him for a few minutes and he was just as polite, kind, and friendly as our wonderful waiter! Although we had declined their offer for dessert (because we didn't want to hold them up anymore) they gave us rice pudding on the house! So PLEASE do yourself the favor of going to Utsav, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

Came here with my family and was beyond impressed. Great quality and Joe (thankachan) was an incredible host and took great care of us! I highly recommend the goat curry... especially if you like South Indian food! He also makes a killer old fashioned !

Amazing Indian food with a wide variety of choices; you will NOT be disappointed! We order cheese naan and vegetable samosas for apps; the samosas were perfectly fried, with an absolutely delightful tamarind sauce to dip in the side. For our main, we got a cashew chicken that was tender and wildly flavorful. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and a great place for anything from a date night to a family dinner. The owner Joe stopped by our table to personally make sure we were enjoying our food, and the service was perfect. Overall, top tier Indian food with a great vibe- highly recommend!

I had a lovely time here earlier this month when I went with my family and boyfriend. My mother paid and when I tried to put money down for the food as well she insisted I could pay her back by leaving a 5 star review. We all had a wonderful time and the food was amazing, my boyfriend who loves high end food said it was genuinely the best Indian food he’s ever had. There was only one waiter in the nearly full restaurant at the time and he still provided quick and top notch service. I always look forward to going back!

Joe the owner ensures your dinner is above expectations with attention to details. We have dined here for over 10 years and are never disappointed be it dine in or take out.
